Poplar is known for having a medium attack, a solid foundation for many different styles that’s neither too bold or too soft. And you should never have to worry about buzzing, warping, or lifting of the wrapped finish – it’s glued to the shell 100 percent for maximum contact, unlike some drum shell wrapped finishes which are spot-glued. This leads to more consistent resonance and more open tone.
