Product Description

The Second-Generation Scarlett Solo from Focusrite is a portable USB 2.0 digital audio interface, featuring a single Scarlett microphone preamp with phantom power, and a dedicated instrument/line input. You can monitor your signal either through an independent 1/4″ output or via rear-mounted, unbalanced RCA jacks. Perfect for the travelling troubadour, this unit is fully compatible with Mac and Windows computers, and includes a plethora of recording, instrument, and sample content software.

An included Pro Tools | First Focusrite Creative pack is enhanced by a suite of Focusrite Scarlett plug-ins—a set of tools including compression, EQ, gating, and reverb. The Novation Bass Station software synthesizer can be used to add bass or melody, and a sample pack from Loopmasters contains drum loops and sound effects. Ableton Live is included to boot.

Focusrite’s Red Plug-In Suite (AAX, Audio Units, and VST) delivers modules based on the classic Focusrite Red 2 EQ and Red 3 Compressor hardware. Also included in this bundle is the Softube Time and Tone Pack for further sonic exploration within your chosen DAW.

  1. 5 out of 5

This works so well. The only problem is that sometimes you have to unplug it and plug it back in of your computer goes to sleep. But that’s not a huge problem. It also comes with a ton of free plugins that I now use all the time. Definitely worth it

  2. 5 out of 5

Works as intended, super solid build and great features. Very clean look and no issues like some on generation one. I just use mine with a dynamic mic and inline fethead amp. which allows me to use the phantom power. Added decibels 25db. A bit expensive but well worth it

  3. 5 out of 5

Perfect for newbie like me. Simple solid construction with some updated features over version one. Very easy to use right out of the box, looks great also. My only odd issue was with windows 10, I still needed a inline pre amp like Cloudlifter or Fethead. I did chose fethead and love it.

First thing I noticed was the quality build of the product, very solid. The price for the quality of work you can perform on this interface is excellent. Sounds are clear, Set up is not hard and to top it off you get so much bonus material with the interface you will have no second thoughts about your purchase. Excellent product.

I video stream our Church Service using a MacBook Pro and OBS software. We had a problem using existing external mike to record sound due to interface problem (analog to digital), the internal mic in the computer was the only source for sound. The Scarlett Solo USB interface solved the problem and also gave us gain control for volume. Works Great
