I purchased these microphones for use as table microphones in a panel discussion. They performed very well and are a great value.
Wow! Great mic. I bought this mic mainly as an instrument mic to mic my acoustic guitar for live performances. It sounds really good on my Yamaha acoustic. I like the fact that it’s supercardiod. I can crank it up without getting a lot of vocal bleed. It sounds really good on vocals too, however, I think the XM8500 is a little better for vocals. It’s warmer with a little better low end. So with the 8500 on vocals and 1800s on guitar, I’m all set for live performances. I couldn’t ask for more. Of course, Behringer rarely disappoints.
Quality mics for the money. These are used for interviews.

Got this for podcasting, great and cheap.
These are very sturdy, and ideal for meeting rooms with a risk of damage or theft. I was looking for good sensitivity (-52 dBv and 2.5 mV/PA) for use with people having zero consciousness. The On/Off switch on the mic is a definite advantage. The include mic stand adapter seems awfully tight, but I did get the mics into them. The plastic might fracture if this is done outside in very cold weather. The adapter threads are plastic, and can be stripped if over tightened. Over a typical meeting room PA system, these mics are more woofy or bassy than a higher-end mic. I drop the bass EQ and boost the treble EQ in a 3-way simple preamp rack. At this price point, I do not expect Neumann quality. However, they are very hefty and sturdy and do exactly what I need, in the environment where I use them.
These might not be the best mics on the market, but I always make sure I have a few of these in stock. These things can take a beating and keep going. I’ve literally had the end of these look like a shark attacked it and the sound came through perfectly. Great product and won’t break the budget at all.
Very good sound. Works out great as a back up for the cordless mic’s I use in our karaoke shows. Singers seem to like sound of these mic’s over my older more expensive mic’s. Nice touch with the included case too.
