Thanks to the gradual roll off at a 100Hz, the PD-70 automatically reduces any undesirable frequencies. This provides a smoother, more natural sound and saves you reaching for the high pass filter! For added intelligibility, there’s a gradual mid frequency shelve, peaking at 5dB around 5kHz. To combat the risk of any “mud”, or “boxiness” you’ll find a subtle dip at 350Hz. The detailed and precise nature of the microphone’s frequency response means even if you’re not well versed with technology, you’ll still be able to achieve a great sound straight out of the box.
