Accurate Audio
Despite the small size of the Genelec 8010A, they still provide an excellent response and high SPL. They use Directivity Control Waveguide technology, which ensures accurate reproduction both on and off axis to provide a wider and more controlled listening area. This ensures you are always hearing each frequency range clearly. The Minimum Diffraction enclosure technology features a smart design that minimises diffractions for colour-free audio. Additionally, the 8010A active monitors feature room response compensation controls, allowing you to change settings to adapt to the room you are working in. They are the ideal travelling companion for musicians and producers.
Iso-Pod Stand
The innovative Iso-Pod stand from Genelec solves a huge list of problems that can occur when finding the best position for your monitors. It attaches to the aluminium enclosure of your Genelec 8010A, providing excellent stability and isolation for your monitor. It has four shallow feet and is made from a specialised rubber-like material, and allows for a +/-15 degree tilt of the loudspeaker. This allows the unit to be pointed precisely towards the listener by adjusting the enclosure’s inclination with the Iso-Pod. The isolation and damping properties reduce midrange colouration caused by undesirable vibrations being transferred to supporting surfaces. The Iso-Pod provides astonishing benefits in both usability and sound quality.
Styled in what the manufacturer has dubbed “Producer Finish,” the Genelec 8010 Bi-Amplified Active Monitor (Single) is designed for mixing and mastering in recording studios, broadcast facilities, and mobile work. The compact monitor utilizes independent 25W Class-D amplifiers to power a 3″ woofer and a 3/4″ metal dome tweeter housed in a die-cast aluminum enclosure.
The monitor utilizes Genelec’s Directivity Control Waveguide and Minimum Diffraction Enclosure designs to tame box reflections, flatten the frequency response from 74 Hz to 20 kHz, and provide a maximum SPL of 96 dB.
The amplifiers utilize Genelec’s Intelligent Signal Sensing circuitry to conserve electricity, utilizing less than 0.5W in standby mode, 5W when idle, and 30W peak per amplifier at full output. The amplifier automatically detects the presence of an input signal and adjusts the power consumption of the monitor accordingly.
A bass tilt control allows you to adjust the bass response to fit the acoustics of your listening environment. The included ISO stand helps reduce the transmission of structural vibrations into your work surface.
