Description
The B-1 Gold-Sputtered Large-Diaphragm Studio Condenser Microphone from Behringer features a large diaphragm condenser design and can be used for project and professional studio applications. It offers a pressure gradient capsule that delivers a transparent 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response while handling an SPL rating of 138 dB (148 dB with pad), resulting in clean transparent audio at transient peak levels.
A Low Cost Workhorse
The Behringer B-1 large diaphragm condenser mic gives you a lot of microphone for not a lot of money. You get the crisp sound of a studio condenser mic at a price that’s great for home and project studios. The B-1 features a low-cut filter at 75Hz to give you control over the low-end response of your recordings. And thanks to the 10dB pad, you can use the B-1 on loud sound sources like drums and guitar amps. Behringer even gives you a shockmount, windscreen, and aluminum storage case with the B-1. If you’re just starting to record, or just need an alternative studio mic at a low cost, you’ll appreciate the Behringer B-1 condenser mic.

This is my first real condenser mic that isn’t USB powered for my small little project studio. For the price, I wasn’t expecting much, but was blown away by the all around quality of the mic. First of all, the construction quality is great. The metal used in the capsule seems very durable. The included shock mount and case are also very sturdy as well. The mic has a very clear and transparent sound, which is great for recording vocals and acoustic instruments. It also has the 10 db pad and low frequency roll of switch which both add to the versatility of the mic. It obviously doesn’t have the quality found in an $800 dollar mic, but I don’t think there is a better value out there for the amateur recording artist.

The quality is amazing, and the price is good. Try it yourself

Can’t fault Gopandy in the slightest – I ordered about 13 items on Friday 25th April and they arrived on Saturday 26th April. Before I paid I compared prices for the more expensive items and Gopandy were either the cheapest or only more expensive by a negligible amount. Although it’s disappointing to see smaller music shops dwindle away, ultimately most people aren’t in a position where they can argue with value for money.

I have seen one used on stage for pickup of bluegrass acoustic instruments and it worked great. I can not think of a single reason not to buy a 3rd or 4th B-1 if the need ever arises. I can recommend trying one of these cost effective mics. For home studios, freelance voiceover work, band demo projects and such I just don’t think you can do better for three or more times the money. The B-1 isn’t a U87, but personally I am not especially fond of U87’s anyway. The way the B-1 captures vocals and cymbals live is more exciting and energetic. Even the sax player likes the way the recordings sound. While not all Behringer gear is this amazing, I don’t think you can go wrong here.

This is my first condenser mic I own, while I also own a shure sm58. It sounds very bright comparing to the sm58, may be because it’s a condenser, but a little less warmth, and it also pick up much more ambient noise then the sm58, the polar pattern itsn’t that polar to eliminate the other noise(I guess it might be fixed if I own a soundproofed room?since I don’t have one and I have got a computer running in my bedroom where the recording take places.) Anyway I m very satisfied with this mic, it’s very bright and clear and realistic, for such a low price And the feel of it is very dense and robust too, though I havnt tried to abuse it yet(and will not do so either) looks like it will last very long.

I use it for home recording. It’s plain, durable, and reliable.

I ordered a Behringer B1 mic and Gravity boom mic stand from Gopandy. I had previously been unsuccessful in ordering the same model mic from another well-known online store, which had issues with availability. I ordered the items from Gopandy one afternoon and received them the following morning (using the next day delivery service). Both items work fine, and I’m chuffed with the fast response (and the prices). Good job Gopandy – thanks.

Really really good mic, I live in quite a noisy area and it doesn’t pick up any of the outside noise (just face the mic away from the noisiest part of the room).

I bought a condenser Microphone, I am happy with the quality of the product, with the price I paid, and the fast delivery from Gopandy.

We used this mic to record voice-overs for an animation project. The sound was crystal clear and the mic was easy to work with. I am a recording novice, so I can’t speak to how it compares with other high-end equipment. But to my untrained ears it passes with flying colors.

We use these for our elementary school musicals and they supplement the solo mics perfectly. They pick up the kids with easy set up and no problems.

Always a classic for a very reasonable price.
