Who wouldn’t love more quality playing time between the hassle and cost of string changes?

Premium by design, these electric bass guitar strings constructed with nickel-plated steel wrap wire boast a rich, rounded tone with incredible clarity and a heavy mid-range presence. Meanwhile, the ultra-thin NANOWEB Coating, redesigned specifically for bass guitars, allows a smooth, natural feel that also enhances grip and reduces finger squeak.

For a brighter bass tone, try Elixir Strings’ Stainless Steel Bass Strings with NANOWEB Coating.

Of course, the kind of string you play is all a matter of personal preference. Not sure what tone is right for you? Try them out for yourself, and find your new favorite string from Elixir Strings.

These strings last FOREVER! No worrying about boiling, cleaning, soaking in denatured alcohol, or any of the other “home remedies” to put life back into strings. By far, the best bass strings on the market as far as brightness, durability, and life. They may be a bit more expensive than other strings on the market, but the long life makes them worth every penny.

I haven’t had a chance to play these much. I usually do electric bass, but I bought a Dean EABC and re-strung it with these. I’d heard they lasted longer. Since this acoustic sits in it’s case most of the time, I knew I wouldn’t be re-stringing it very often. They are VERY bright sounding, as other reviewers have stated.

Tried many bass strings like Fender, Ernie Ball, and GHS on my Fender Jazz Bass, and they either didn’t have the sound I was looking for or couldn’t last more than 3 weeks of use. These Elixir strings sound AMAZING and will definetly bring the life back to your instrument. If you’re not well experienced with bass strings or torn between another brand, spend the extra buck and get these you will not regret it. I’m using Nickel mediums because I like the tone of a thicker gauge string, I would also strongly recommend the medium/light gauge.

Okay so I’m not new to these strings anymore. I hated the silk deriving at first. But it grew on me. I’ve been a Dunlop super bright person for a few years now the only problem is they would last for two weeks and if I gig they would last a few days they weren’t the best strings for long lasting they sounded good tho. But I was on a journey to find a string that would last a month at least. These strings tend to last me about 2-3 months and that’s amazing for a set of strings

I’ve been using these strings for about 8-9 years now, I’ll never buy another type. The tone is bright yet smooth and not over agressive, the feel is amazing but may stand some getting used to if you’ve never used them, kinda like the slimy feeling when you get your braces taken off. They used to have the issue of the coating coming off an lbs making the strings “furry” but they changed their coating mixture and it no longer does this.
